Kevin MacDonald: Glenn Beck: More Clueless Conservatism

Sometimes it’s pretty obvious what’s wrong with conservatives. Glenn Beck’s Washington gathering turns out to have been a plea for a religious revival (NY Times: At Lincoln Memorial: A Call for Religious Rebirth):

“Something that is beyond man is happening,” Mr. Beck told the crowd, in what was part religious revival and part history lecture. “America today begins to turn back to God. … There’s nothing we can do that will solve the problems that we have and keep the peace unless we solve it through God.”

It was a plea made to an overwhelmingly white audience by a rainbow coalition of speakers.

The speaker list was diverse, including African Americans, Latinos and Native Americans, Jews and Christians, clergymen, military veterans and sports stars, including Albert Pujols of the St. Louis Cardinals. The crowd, however, was overwhelmingly white. (LA Times: Beck, others exhort conservatives to action at Washington rally).

All that implicit whiteness and no place to go. When whites put on a rally for an overwhelmingly white constituency, they feel a need to pledge allegiance to America as not really having an ethnic identity—hence the need for nonwhite speakers. The same thing happened at a Tea Party rally I attended in Southern California: the obligatory black speaker needed to deflect charges of racism that automatically surface when the crowd is overwhelmingly white. That’s why NASCAR is assiduously courting black drivers to perform in front of their  overwhelmingly white audiences.

The LA Times article notes that “Speaker after speaker praised the nation’s military, its Founding Fathers and Lincoln.” Red meat to the  Tea Partiers—guaranteed to bring tears to the  eye. Unfortunately, the military has been co-opted by the Israel Lobby. And the pleas to religion,  the Founding Fathers and Lincoln are just another version of the proposition nation creed: All will be well if we accept a certain set of universal ideas with no ethnic content.

But it won’t. The people attending are overwhelmingly white because whites are angry and deeply anxious about their future in America as other groups expand their power and whites are increasingly victimized as whites, in everything from affirmative action to violent crime. But they can’t explicitly state that this is a war against them. So they end up pledging allegiance to the very things that are dispossessing them—and calling it conservative. The worst part is that it gives his gullible audience hope that there are easy, painless solutions. We can do it if we just BELIEVE.

They can’t break with the ruling ideology. Until they do, they will just keep on losing and getting more and more desperate. And that, in a nutshell, is the argument for the A3P.

A flaw whites have is the belief that whites have a moral obligation to allow other tribes into white activities . Other tribes don't have this feeling of a moral obligation to include white people into there activities . A flaw whites have is not realizing other tribes or not playing by the same rules.

I agree with you, however i think that the conservative uprising is just the beginnning of something bigger. At least they're saying that they're unhappy.

Besides which, an ally is an ally. The Tea Party is doing something about our problems, and it's big. Hopefully they can turn America in a more positive direction. Anyway, you'll need numbers to pass any laws, and the TP and Beck have 'em. Our movement doesn't have the same numbers.

you are exactly right mr. macdonald, but how can we break the chains of white oppression? i recently watched mark potok call you out saying you are extremely anti-semitic. i feel you are as anti-semitic as mark potok is anti-white. the truth hurts, eh? thank you for standing up for white americans. we need a leader like you.
unfortunately, the only thing that these global elitists will understand is violence. the only way to break free of these chains is violence. until then, we will continue to accept minimum wages and their shilling.

If we want to make any progress what we must all do, is get on a consistent message. We must stop trying to prove things to our enemies and instead bombard them endlessly with talking points that work.

All the Tea Party had to do, was tell all of its members to repeat this endlessly and the racist charges, would have rebounded on their enemies:

In your opinion, I am racist.
You're just saying that because I am White.
      Anti-racist is a codeword for anti-White.

But of course like all respectable conservatives, the liberals whistled and the Tea Party rolled over, like good little doggies.

People have to understand that respectable conservatives, are the worst enemies White people have. Their cowardice and stupidity, does far more harm than any liberal ever could.

dont say violence..say "civil unrest" a euphemism for punching the lights out of a liberal reporter for habitual lying.

After the rally when Beck was asked on Fox what was the most memorable thing about the event, he said that it was when he prayed with the niece of Martin Luther King. What's with this fixation he has with anything to do with Martin Luther King for crying out loud! It's as if Beck is ashamed of the fact that he attracts a majority of whites.

  5. jack ryan says:

We can’t allow super rich “conservatives” with access to the mainstream media – “Fox” to be acknowledged as “leaders” of White Americans.

When they pander, when they push MLK on our people, when they pass out the Rev. Jim Jones style kool aid – that race doesn’t matter and we’re all about helping non Whites – they must receive some very negative feedback.

This all gets down to White Americans longing to be accepted by the anti White establishment and wanting the non White masses to like us, accept us.

Glen Beck and his team need to be dropped off in Zimbabwe, East St. Louis.

And folks please, please understand that the situation is not set up to have anyone who is really on our side give huge mainstream media access.

The anti White TV boob tube will allow a Lou Dobbs or Glen Beck to serve as propaganda that the media really isn’t “controlled”, “anti White”.

We should treat Whites who get all excited about Glen Beck as TV drug addicts who need help breaking a very bad addiction.

  6. Garrett says:

It's the same mentality that produced an inept Michael Steele as RNC Chairrman. "Conservatives" will only get over the pandering to non-whites when they re-learn that the major differences between people are racial. Some might never learn.

  7. Tryon says:

As they used to say in the sixties, Beck is part of the problem, not the solution. The man's a natural born follower. When the Jews started beating on him for his stated belief that the Biblical Jews had Jesus put to death, Beck did a 180 turn on the issue, totally recanting in favor of the gospel according to Hollywood that It had been the Romans and only the Romans. (See the Wikipedia article on him.) The fact that the so-called Tea Party admires this bum says a lot about how much to expect from that lot in any real national test.

  8. Patriot 1 says:

The problem is Beck doesn't know what Christianity truly is. It is a separatist faith. Christianity is an exclusive call to a specific group, not all groups. Too bad most Christians, just like Beck, don't know their own faith. They believe the zionist version of what they want people to think. It is a might bit easier to control a large "diverse" like minded group then numerous independent thinking groups. Culling the masses in a false watered down belief.

  9. Doug says:

What is so wrong with turning it into a revival? As long as it is a Christian revival, I have no problem with that. If my new african american neighbor was a Christian, I'd be thrilled. It would mean I would not have to see his relatives come over with Malcom X shirts on and make me wonder what the heck is going on in my neighborhood.
