The American Third Position has endorsed a call by former Central Intelligence Agency counterterrorism specialist and military intelligence officer Philip Giradli, for Nuremburg war crimes trials to punish those responsible for the invasion of Iraq.
The time has come to openly acknowledge that the last two wars into which the American people have been plunged — Afghanistan and Iraq — were monumental disasters which have inflicted thousands of casualties, achieved nothing in the war against terror except to inflame the world against our nation, and have cost billions of dollars that we cannot afford.
Both Republican and Democratic parties have cruelly betrayed the American economy by plunging the nation into a $1.3 trillion budget deficit — while spending well in excess of $3 trillion on the war in Iraq.
